Our Ambulatory Surgical Center was the first outpatient endoscopy center in the region, established in 1989.
The Center is the first outpatient endoscopy center certified with Commendation by JCAHO, the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Heathcare Organizations.
Procedures that are performed include Flexible Sigmoidoscopy for cancer screening, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (Upper GI endoscopy), and Colonscopy.
Unless contraindicated, our patients receive intravenous sedation for most procedures.
We were the first GI practice in this region to have Endoscopic Ultrasound, enabling us to examine and diagnose rectal, esophageal, gastric, pancreatic and biliary tract tumors nonivasively.
